Swin Swee Kee Chicken Rice
Tuesday, September 25, 2007
Location: 35 Seah St, behind Raffles Hotel (Singapore)
We had lunch here on 9th September 2007, 1:49pm. An excellent place for Hainanese chicken rice. I thank my good friend Mr Bryan Lee for recommending me this place (props to him). I'm eager to see what other excellent places he'd bring me to in the future. The place looks a little 'ethnic' but hey! We're here for the food aren't we?
The dishes are reasonably inexpensive, and decent in portion, so no worries on that part. We went there for the roast chicken (of course) and it tasted mighty fine. Best in Singapore I might surmise! (I'm fickle and tend to exaggerate sometimes when it comes to food).
Half a roast, mmm tasty. No complains here.
The vegetable dish, with fried shallots and oyster sauce. Excellent.
This is Hainanese pork chops. I found it a little unusual because of the fries on top (with peas and tomato sauce), but it actually tasted pretty good!
As usual, she wants everything for herself!
The overall spread for two people. Argh, I was pretty stuffed. She practically forced me to finish the left-overs. :(
Summarily, an excellent lunch, definitely one of my favorites. I highly recommend this place if you're into chicken rice. Totally worth it, was about SGD20 for two people, considering the spread.

Hey Wolf, thanks for dropping by my blog.
I found that pic in flickr but I do not remember the title. But I have saved the pic on my office computer. I'll pass it to you right after Mid-Autumn Festival, ok?
Cheers,
Lory
