Far Coast: Adventures of The Cup
Wednesday, October 3, 2007
Location: International Building #01-01 (Next to Shaw House, Singapore)
A little slow on updating the blog but we had coffee here on 22nd Sept 2007. I thought to mention because it's an excellent place to have sit down have coffee and chat, cozy and all that. Props to Elvin Ko (aka the Rubberman) for recommending me this cafe.
Far Coast has an interesting selection of 'brews'. I have never heard of these names but I can only guess they are gimmicks or just to 'spruce' things up. I bought 'Opal Noir', something with a rich dark aroma, strong smelling, slightly bitter. Hers was some sort of iced blended latte, damn I forgot the name of it! It was cool sounding nonetheless.
I'm not big on writing reviews with all that jibber jabber poopey cock flowerly words about how the coffee tastes so sensational and all that, but it beats Starbucks and Coffee Bean I assure you. It's also difficult to find those 'non-franchised' cafes in Singapore. If you know any, let me know. I'd be sure to try them out. Anyhow, I'd let the pictures speak for themselves.
'Opal Noir' Americano on the left, and some ice latte thing I don't remember (Eliza, care to fill me in) on the right.
Oh snap! (I usually come out of my hole when night falls)

That spot where they keep the sugar, stirring sticks, serviettes and whatnot.
The exterior of the Far Coast. She didn't look happy.
I actually have more pictures (will post more later), but Eliza took my camera along with the memory card! Argh. Summarily, an excellent place to have coffee, the brew is good... I think. It's regularly priced (kinda like Starbucks), around $5 for a cup of coffee. I will be back for more.
